“…do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. He who steals must steal no more…” (Ephesians 4:26-28 NASB)
3 TYPES OF “JOY”: EVER PRESENT, DELIBERATE, AND SATISFYING JOY
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 NLT)
THE SPIRIT OF JOY IS A MATTER OR CHOICE, NOT A MATTER OF CHANCE, OR “HAPPEN-STANCE”
“…the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.” (2 Corinthians 8:1-2 ESV)
1. CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE THAT WELCOMES THE SPIRIT OF JOY
“…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” (Gal. 5:22-23 NASB)
2. BE AROUND JOYFUL PEOPLE!
“…for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10 NASB)
“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” (Hebrews 2:1)
2. GUARD YOUR HEART WITH VIGILANCE
“Above all else, guard your heart (with all vigilance) for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)
“All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own.” (Isaiah 53:6)
3. REPENT AND CORRECT BACK TO HEART
“(Jesus said) I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” (Revelation 2:4)
“Remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first.” (Revelation 2:5)
1. Have you ever found yourself drifting away from God? What was the circumstances that brought you to this place? What did you learn from this
2. Read Hebrews 2:1. How can you apply this scripture to your life? What areas in your life do you need to pay close attention to, so that you do not
3. Read Revelation 2:4-5. What steps of obedience can you...
“And Elisha said, ‘Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.’ So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another. Soon every container was full to the brim! “Bring me another jar,’ she said to one of her sons. ‘There aren’t any more!’ he told her. And then the olive oil stopped flowing.” 2 Kings 4:3-6 NLT
1. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AS MANY RESOURCES AS YOU CAN!!

“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15 NKJV
"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." (Proverbs 19:21 NIV)
1. IN ORDER TO BE USED BY GOD, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO BE DISRUPTED!
"Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time." Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there. So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas." (Acts 16:6-8 NLT)
2. A DISRUPTION DOES NOT MEAN DENIAL!
"When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. "Where have you laid him?" he asked. "Come and see, Lord," they replied. Jesus wept." (Jo...
"And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience," (Ephesians 2:1-2 NKJV)
1. REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE AND WHOSE YOU ARE!!
"We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one." (1 John 5:19 NLT)
"We know that God's children do not make a practice of sinning, for God's Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them." (1 John 5:18 NLT)
2. CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE, NOT YOUR PERIMETER!!
"Everything is wearisome beyond description. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are not content." (Ecclesiastes 1:8 NLT)
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV)

"He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” (Ezekiel 37:3)
1. AGREE AND DECLARE THE "I WILLS" OF GOD
"And as he was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. (Ezekiel 37:7-8)
"Prophesy to the breath and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' So he prophesied as Go...
