Dear Friends and Family (Ohana): BREAKOUT YEAR 2019! The reality is, even the best of us gets angry from time to time. Why? It’s because we’re human. When God created us, he gave us emotions. One of those emotions is anger. When we get angry, it doesn’t make us less holy. It simply reminds us, we’re human. Scripture says “Be angry, and do not sin…” (Psalm 4:4 NKJV). Did you catch the “…and do not sin” part? What God is basically saying is: “If, and when you do get angry, just make sure your anger doesn’t cause you to do something ungodly, and un-Christlike.” Anger is not an excuse to sin. You cannot use anger to justify retaliation or revenge. You might get angry, but don’t let it lead you to do something, or say something that you’ll regret later. Don’t let anger turn you into a green Christian Incredible Hulk! In fact, ask yourself “Why am I getting angry; why am I angry?” Would Jesus get angry about what you’re angry about? In any case, recognize when you’re getting angry, and hit the “pause button”! Take a couple of deep breaths, and ask the Holy Spirit to increase ALL of the fruit of the spirit within you, and start eating your fruits. In other words, you might get angry, but don’t let anger get you…into trouble. The rest of Psalm 4:4 says this: “…Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still…” Join us at Wednesday Night Service!
