What you received (past tense) is a fact. This pleases you. But, what PLEASES GOD is YOUR FAITH - “…without faith it is impossible to please Him…” (Hebrews 11:6 NASB). The Christian walk is not a matter of living by facts, it’s a matter of living by faith. Facts looks at the past, and says “this happened”. Faith looks towards the future, and says “This CAN happen”. Fact and faith both have a lean. Facts have a backward lean, faith has a forward lean. That’s why when you live by faith, you can move forward…and that will please you, AND it will please God!
