BRIDGING THE GAP!
BRIDGING THE GAP For He himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,…His purpose was to create in Himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, (Ephesians 2:14-15 NIV) BREAKOUT BY BRIDGING OUT! Evangelism: The spreading of the Christian Gospel by public preaching or personal witness And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (Ephesians 4:11-12 NKJV) EVANGELISM BRIDGES HOPE TO THE HOPELESS Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1 Peter 1:3 NASB) EVANGELISM BREAKS CULTURAL COMPLACENCY AND CONTENTMENT But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15 KJV) EVANGELISM IS KEY TO BREAKOUT GROWTH As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:15-16 NKJV) Life Group Discussion: According to Ephesians 2:14-15, what was JESUS’ purpose and what is your role in fulfilling this purpose? How critical is Evangelism in the roles of the 5 fold ministries (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers)? In what ways can Evangelism break cultural complacency and contentment? JESUS must bring in the sheep that are not of “this fold.” What does this mean to you?
