USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE ! “One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.” “What can I do to help you?” Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” “Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied.” 2 Kings 4:1-2 (NLT) 2. USE WHAT YOU HAVE FOR GOD’S PURPOSE ! “…‘and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. YOU HAVE ATLEAST ONE SPIRITUAL GIFT TO USE! “…God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well… If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. Share! God has given each of us a spiritual gift. Are you activating God’s gift to fulfill His purpose? Are you activating your gifts to server others or to serve yourself? The Prophet Amos was “just a” shepherd and farmer when God called him to service. We often respond to God, I’m “just a” businessman or a housewife. Wherever you are in life, God can use you.
