"When You're Still Hungry!”

YOU’LL BE TEMPTED TO LOSE HOPE WHEN YOU DON’T SEE ANY FRUIT.
It’s hopeless! I am like a hungry person who finds no fruit left on the trees and no grapes on the vines. All the grapes and all the tasty figs have been picked. (Micah 7:1 GNT)
Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
(Micah 7:7 NKJV)
1. LOOK TO THE LORD: TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE LACK.
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)
2. LOOK TO THE LORD: ABANDON SELF-DEPENDENCY.
3. WAIT FOR THE LORD: WAIT WITH EARNEST EXPECTATION.
I will wait for the God of my salvation; (Micah 7:7 NKJV)
4. MY GOD WILL HEAR ME: BE READY FOR AN ANSWER, IT MIGHT BE PRUNING TIME.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
(John 15:2 NKJV)
Life Group Discussion:
Is there something in your life that needs a renewing (love, joy, mercy, forgiveness, etc..)? Has it grown dull because of sin? Discuss.
Why is taking your eyes off of the lack and off of “self” essential to your growth in the LORD?
What does “wait on the LORD” look and mean to you? Are you waiting on Him now, and if so, are you serving others as well?
Pruning is also removing branches that bear fruit so more fruit can grow. Is there something that needs to get pruned from your personal life? Discuss.
