“Eat and Exercise"
But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:27 NKJV)
1. HONOR GOD BY TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY THROUGH PROPER DIET AND EXERCISE
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT)
For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. (2 Corinthians 5:10 NLT)
2. PRE-DETERMINE YOUR MEAL AND EXERCISE PLAN
But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; (Daniel 1:8 NASB)
“Please test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be observed in your presence and the appearance of the youths who are eating the king’s choice food; and deal with your servants according to what you see.” (Daniel 1:12-13 NASB)
3. PARTNER UP WITH A “GYM BUDDY” THAT IS MORE DETERMINED THAN YOU
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24 NIV)
