“The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.” (Proverbs 10:7 NASB)
2. LEAVE A LEGACY OF GODLY WORKS

“The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.” (William James)
“One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” (Psalm 145:4 NKJV)
3. LEAVE A LEGACY OF SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE
“A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children…” (Proverbs 13:22 NIV)
“You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NASB)
Life Group Discussion:
What legacy do you want to leave behind when you pass?
How do you want to be remembered when you pass?
What legacy will you leave behind when you pass?
What are you doing now to build your legacy?
Write a “Legacy Letter”. Think about everything you’d want to tell your loved ones and your survivors if you knew you didn’t have long to live then put it all in a letter to them.”
Give to Church or other charity. (i.e. wealthier people can create a charitable foundation or a trust that provides ongoing distributions, so that the gift has more lasting value.)
