GRACE GIFTS

God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose. Hebrews 2:4 (NLT)

• WE ARE PRISMS THAT REFRACT GOD’S POWER

1. GIFTS OF HEALING

(Jesus said) these miraculous signs will accompany those who believe…they will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed. Mark 16:17-18 (NLT)

2. WORKING OF MIRACLES

(Paul said) I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and miracles. 2 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV)

3. DISCERNING OF SPIRITS

Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 1 John 4:1-3 (NIV)

4. THE GIFTS WE RECEIVE ARE TO SERVE ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

• Not for self-exaltation but to benefit others

• Not the ability to heal at will

• Rightly to be sought (1 Corinthians 12:31, 14:1)

1. How are we to use the gifts of healing, miracles and discerning of spirits to edify and encourage others in our lives?

2. Do you believe that God can use you to usher in His healing and miracle power to those in your life? Why or why not?

3. How can you apply God’s Word to your life, as you grow in spiritual discernment? How can a person help other Believers with this gift?

4. Consider earnestly praying to God to give you one of these spiritual gifts. Which gift(s) would you desire and why?
