“UN-TICKING the TIME BOMB!”
"Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.” (Psalm 37:8, NLT)
1.) RIGHTEOUS AND UNRIGHTEOUS ANGER
“God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day.” (Psalm 7:11, NKJV)
“And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart,…” (Mark 3:5, ESV)
“Be angry, and do not sin;…” (Psalm 4:4, ESV)
2.) CONTROL YOUR ANGER BEFOR IT EXPLODES
"And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:26–27, NLT)
“But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
” (Colossians 3:8, ESV)
3.) WE MUST BREAK THE CYCLES OF SINFUL ANGER
"Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” (James 1:19-20, NLT)
“At that point Peter got up the nerve to ask, “Master, how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Seven?”
Jesus replied, “Seven! Hardly. Try seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:21-22, The Message)
