PRESSING IN FOR THE FINISH

PRESSING IN FOR THE FINISH

  • LET STRUGGLE PRODUCE DESTINY, NOT STAGNANCY!

  1. IT’S NOT YOUR CHOICE, HE CHOOSES YOU!

“…And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So, Samuel arose and went to Ramah.” 1 Samuel 16:12-13 NKJV

  1. ANNOINTINED DOES NOT MEAN NOW!

“ Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.”

1 Samuel 16:22-23 NKJV

“But David occasionally went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.” 1 Samuel 17:15 NKJV

  1. IT’S NOT ABOUT THE GIANT… ITS ABOUT WHO YOU WILL BECOME!

“But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.” 1 Samuel 17:34-35 NKJV

Then, as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand. 58 And Saul said to him, “Whose son are you, young man?” 1 Samuel 17:57 NKJV
