“Arise, SHINE; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV

‘OR: (n) means "light". (v) means to "give light" or "shine." It is also related to the idea of bringing order, in the same way that you bring about order in the darkness when you turn on the lights.

1. CHECK YOUR CONNECTION TO THE SOURCE!!

“Then Peter called to him, ‘Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.’ ‘Yes, come,’ Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.” Matt 14:28-29 NLT

2. USE ACCOUNTABILITY TO REMOVE UNNECESSARY JUNK AND BUFF OUT BLEMISHES!!

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Prov 27:17 NLT

“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” 1 Thess 5:11 NLT

3. FREE YOURSELF FROM THE LIFE EXPECTATIONS!!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jer 1:5 NKJV

  • YOUR LIGHT HAS NO IMPACT IN A ROOM FULL OF LIGHT!!

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matt 5:14-16 NKJV

Life Group Questions: How has your CONNECTION with God been as of late?? What have you been doing to stay connected?? What are some of the UNNECESSARY JUNK in your life that needs to be removed?? Do you have ACCOUNTABILITY partners to help you remove them?? Share of some LIFE EXPECTATIONS that have dwindled your fire or dimmed your light?? Have you freed yourself?? How does it feel?? What are some practical ways to make an IMPACT with your LIGHT?? Who are you IMPACTING??
