CULTIVATE A GRATEFUL SPIRIT

MAKING LIFE WONDERFUL!
“Cultivate A Grateful Spirit”
● NOT THE CIRCUMSTANCES IN LIFE, BUT GRATEFULNESS IN YOUR HEART
“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (I Thessalonians 5:18 NASB)
1. LOOK FOR THE SMALL THINGS YOU CAN BE THANKFUL FOR
● THANKSGIVING IS NOT A DAY, IT’S EVERY “A DAY”
2. GIVE THANKS BEFORE YOU RECEIVE
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4 NASB) “…one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.” (Luke 17:15-16 NASB)
“Then Jesus answered and said, ‘Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine – where are they? Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?’” (Luke 17:17-18 NASB)
“And He said to him, ‘Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.’” (Luke 17:19 NASB)
3. STAND UP AND GO
“And He said to him, ‘Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.’” (Luke 17:19 NASB)
Life Group Discussion: How do you know that you’ve cultivated the spirit of gratefulness? How can others tell you are grateful? What are you grateful to God for? How can God tell you are grateful? How can you tell when a person is being “Ungrateful”? What action steps will you commit to doing to continue cultivating a grateful heart?
