JESUS IN THE UN-USUAL
HANALEI SANTOS
“Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?”” Numbers 22:28 NIV
1. JESUS USES THE UN-USUAL TO GET OUR ATTENTION!
“Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes. He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!” John 9:6-7 NLT
2. JESUS IS NOT LIMITED BY THE STATUS QUO!
“Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and proclaim to it the proclamation which I am going to tell you.” So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh according to the word of the LORD...” Jonah 3:1-3 NASB
3. WE MUST BE WILLING AND READY!
“He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.” Luke 5:2-3 NIV
