Drift

1. DRIFT OF THE HEART
“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” (Hebrews 2:1)
2. GUARD YOUR HEART WITH VIGILANCE
“Above all else, guard your heart (with all vigilance) for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)
“All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own.” (Isaiah 53:6)
3. REPENT AND CORRECT BACK TO HEART
“(Jesus said) I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” (Revelation 2:4)
“Remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first.” (Revelation 2:5)

1. Have you ever found yourself drifting away from God? What was the circumstances that brought you to this place? What did you learn from this experience? 2. Read Hebrews 2:1. How can you apply this scripture to your life? What areas in your life do you need to pay close attention to, so that you do not drift? 3. Read Revelation 2:4-5. What steps of obedience can you take to strengthen your relationship with God and restore your love for Him?
