Avoiding Relational Pits Pt. 1
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with
lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”
2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV
➢ AVOID BEING UNEQUALLY YOKED!
1. LEAVE THE MATCHMAKING TO THE MATCHMAKER!
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become
one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man
separate.”
Mark 10:7-9 NKJV
2. BE TWO HEARTS IN PURSUIT OF ONE GOD!
“Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of
the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should
submit to their husbands in everything.”
Ephesians 5:22-24 NKJV
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to sanctify her…”
Ephesians 5:25 NKJV
3. COME CLEAN OF ALL SECRETS AND SURPRISES!
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31 NLT
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with
lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”
2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV
