BREAKOUT YEAR 2019!
“I think myself happy…” (Acts 26:2 NKJ). You would think Paul was in a season when things were going well in his life; or he was at a party, and being celebrated. Nope. Paul said this when he was standing in front of king Agrippa, and suffering from being falsely accused for not fitting into the beliefs, teachings, and culture of his time. Paul was a “misfit” because he took a stand for Jesus; he took a stand on principle, not on what’s popular. Paul chose to stand on the right side of a wrong.
Like Paul, choose to stand in the “victor’s shoes” when suffering, not the victim’s. The mark of a great man or woman of God is how well they respond to suffering when doing what is right in God’s eyes; when treated unfairly; when being misunderstood for not going along with what’s popular; when being falsely accused.
You’ll remind God of His Son when you graciously choose to “suffer for doing what is right, than suffer for doing what is wrong.” Like Paul, think yourself happy in righteous suffering, and you watch what God will breakout in, and through your life!
