Handling Your Critics Pt. 2
1. Build your ability to respond!
“And David said, 'What have I done now? Is there not a cause?' Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did.”
1 Samuel 17:29-30 (NKJV)
2. Move forward with what is truth!
"Then David said to Saul, 'Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.'”
1 Samuel 17:32 (NKJV)
3. Stay grounded in testimony, not in strongholds.
“Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!””
I Samuel 17:37 (NKJV)
4. Be careful of being critical of others.
“And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?”
Matthew 7:3 (NKJV)
Victory Group Questions:
1. How have you been handling to criticism lately, response or reaction?
2. What can prevent us from remembering our testimony? What are some ways that we can combat the voice of the enemy and focus on the voice of the Father?
3. Are you your own worst critic? Discuss amongst the group and formulate strategies to get rid of the spirit of condemnation.
