Planted By Streams

To Be Planted: Lodged, established, fixed, deeply rooted

I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them.

I Chronicles 17:9 (NASB)

1. PLANT YOURSELF IN A STREAM OF LIFE-GIVING WATER.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do

prospers.

Psalm 1:3 (NIV)

  • AVOID POLLUTED STREAMS AND ROTTEN ROOTS

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but

whose delight is in the law of the LORD and who meditates on His law day and night.

Psalm 1:1-2 (NIV)

*The way to plant yourself in the truth is to plant the truth in yourself.

2. DEEPEN YOUR ROOTS TO GROW STRONGER SO YOU CAN BEAR MORE FRUIT.

They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:8 (NIV)

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life and the one who is wise saves lives.

Proverbs 11:30 (NIV)

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith,

just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7 (ESV)
