Seeds of Kindness
SEEDS OF KINDNESS
Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, YOU MUST clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 (NLT)
1. YOUR KINDNESS IS AN EXTENSION OF GOD’S HEART. BE A CHRIST AMBASSADOR TO THE WORLD!
We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NASB)
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden…in the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT)
2. THE SEEDS OF KINDNESS YOU PLANT TODAY WILL DETERMINE THE HARVEST YOU REAP
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7 (NIV)
Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you. Proverbs 11:17 (NLT)
PRACTICE THE ELEVATOR PRINCIPLE: ADD VALUE TO OTHERS
Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you. Hosea 10:12 (NLT)
3. GOD’S KINDNESS LEADS YOU TO REPENTANCE
Do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance? Romans 2:24 (BSB)
