Dear Friends and Family (Ohana):
Sometimes, sowing is a challenge while reaping is always fun! Usually, the sowing line is short, while the reaping line is long! But, when a person chooses to sacrifice, and SOWS IN TEARS because it's painful (sacrificing usually is) - that person WILL REAP a harvest so awesome and amazing that they will shout with joy! “Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.” (Psalm 126:5 NASB).
God chose to sow His Son, and guess what…He reaped a harvest of a family! That’s why the greatest of love is CHOSEN LOVE – and chosen love is when a person chooses to sow in tears. Then, the promise is you will reap a harvest with joyful shouting!
Come to our Wednesday Night Service, as HANALEI SANTOS shares a very timely message titled “MOVED BY THE NEED”! Then…On SUNDAY, we’ll hear a powerful message by AUSTIN TIALAVEA titled “BUILD A MEMORIAL”! You’ll be glad you didn’t miss it!
UPDATE ON PASTOR WAYNE CORDEIRO: Our combined prayers have been answered! Pastor Wayne is resting at home, DOING WELL, and is in FULL RECOVERY after undergoing a radical prostatectomy!
THANK YOU shout out to Brother “JACK” who organized our ONE OCTOBER COMPASSION IN ACTION “OUTREACH” at the LAS VEGAS SIGN from September 28-October 2nd! I also want to extend a BIG MAHALO to EVERYONE who DONATED cases of water and snacks…and, to ALL of our NHLV TEAM OHANA who came out to help PRAY, and COMFORT over 500 people!
People were so THANKFUL, and TOUCHED as we gave out free water bottles, handed out Kleenex, help carry crosses to the cars of families who lost their loved ones, and give out our yellow ribbons! It was FANTASTIC to see our team of 20, wearing our NHLV “#Vegasstrong purple shirts IN ACTION! (See Photo)
Lastly, 3 Contractors for our RESTROOM EXPANSION project presented their bids to us last week…and, my eyeballs flew out of my head (be careful where you step, it’s still rolling on the ground). All three bids were way too high! The lowest bid was $196,960 and the highest $489,037!
In response, Pastor Bam and I (as soon as I picked up my eyeballs) are consulting with God, and meeting with our Architect, and Property Manager to explore other reasonable options to advance this project to completion. Meanwhile, we will continue our relentless pursuit of preparing for the CONSTRUCTION PHASE despite the initial bids! Our GOAL is to raise $50,000. We received $4,000 thus far!
Due to the above-mentioned obstacle, our initial hope of completing this project by mid-October 2018 will be delayed to a time yet to be determined! However, let’s be resilient and partner with God to make this happen! Please make checks payable to: NEW HOPE LAS VEGAS.
