The God Who Gives Fresh Starts

1. CLOSE THE DOOR TO YOUR PAST

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing…!” (Isaiah 43:18&19 NIV)

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” (Isaiah 43:25 NIV)

“…He said, ‘Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’” (Exodus 3:5 NASB)

2. RE-FOCUS, AND KEEP FOCUSED ON WHERE YOU WANT TO GO.

“…I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” (Philippians 3:13 NLT)

3. FOCUS ON WHAT GOD IS CONSTRUCTING, NOT ON WHAT GOD IS DESTRUCTING

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (Zechariah 4:10 NLT)
