1. JESUS DID IT, SO SHOULD I!

“For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one

who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves. ‘You are the ones who

have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you”

Luke 22:27-29 NASB

2. DON’T MIX UP YOUR CAREER AND YOUR CALLING!

“One day Jesse said to David, ‘Take this basket of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread, and carry them quickly to your brothers. And give these ten cuts of cheese to their captain. See how your brothers are getting along, and bring back a report on how they are doing.”

1 Samuel 17:17-18 NLT

“Then David’s question was reported to King Saul, and the king sent for him.”

1 Samuel 17:31 NLT

3. THE APPOINTING OF MAN IS NOTHING WITHOUT THE ANOINTING OF GOD!

“...And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.”

Nehemiah 2:8 NLT

“...The laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon. All the builders had a sword belted to their side...” Nehemiah 4:17-18 NLT

VICTORY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1) Why do you serve? And how has it brought you closer to God? Share.

2) What are some of the obstacles that you face having a full time job (or school) while serving in ministry? And how would you encourage someone who also works but wants to serve? Share.

3) How important is it for you to protect the anointing of God as you continue to serve in church? How do you know if the anointing is still there? Share.

4) What is something you took away from the message that wasn’t already discussed? Share.
