“Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit.”

(Luke 12:35 NASB)

1. HAVE A “COME READY” MINDSET, NOT A COME AND GET READY HABIT

2. CURRENT EXPERIENCE, DEPENDS ON PRIOR PREPARATION

“…those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you. Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.’” (Matthew 25:10-12 NASB)

3. DON’T DEVELOP “PREPARATION PROCRASTINATION”

  • DO YOUR BEST TO PLAN AHEAD, AND START EARLIER

“The mind of a person plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”

(Proverbs 16:9 NASB)

4. JESUS SAID: COME READY, NOT COME PERFECT!

“…be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

(Matthew 24:44 NKJ)
