“He will turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the hearts of

the children to their fathers…”

(Malachi 4:6 NASB)

1. DADDYING IS BY CHOICE, NOT BY HAVING CHILDREN

“Children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

(Psalm 127:3 NASB)

2. DAD FROM A PLAN, NOT NECESSARILY FROM YOUR PAST

  • PLAN TO BE PRESENT, NOT JUST GIVE PRESENTS

  • PLAN TO BE A DAD OF THE WORD, AND OF YOUR WORD

“…For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”

(Psalm 138:2 NKJ)

3. BE A DAD BY DISCIPLINING

“Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 NASB)

“For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines…God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline.”

(Hebrews 12:6-7 NASB)

“Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.”

(Proverbs 22:15 NASB)

4. DAD WITH CHURCH COMMUNITY

“…after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.”

(Luke 2:46 NASB)

“And He said to them, ‘Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you now know that I had to be in My Father’s House?”

(Luke 3:49 NASB)
