“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…”
(2 Timothy 1:6 NKJ)
“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity (fear), but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (sound mind).”
(2 Timothy 1:7 NIV)
1. STIR UP THE SPIRIT OF BOLDNESS
“So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear…”
(Hebrews 13:6 NKJ)
“…and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” (Numbers 13:33 NASB)
“But as for My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went…”
(Numbers 14:24 NKJ)
2. STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH AND GOD-GIVEN AUTHORITY
FEAR GOD, NOT MAN
“…What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6 NKJ)
3. CONFRONT IT, AND CONDEMN IT
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me. Says
the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJ).
“…David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.” (I
Samuel 17:48 NASB).
