For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

1. ACKNOWLEDGE AND PROCESS THE PAST

*Don’t Suppress It — Bring your past before God in honesty. Whether it’s regret, trauma, failure, or grief, healing begins with facing it. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

2. GIFT OF FORGIVENESS AND GRACE

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:31-32 (NLT)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

*Your HISTORY is NOT your DESTINY!

  • LET GO AND SURRENDER CONTROL

*Ask God to help you surrender what was, so He can birth what’s next in your future. Trust in God.

(Proverbs 3:5-6)

3. YOUR SCARS ARE A TESTIMONY OF GOD’S ABILITY TO HEAL

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on…in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)
