Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced. 1 Chronicles 16:12 (NIV)
When all the people had crossed the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, “Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe. Tell them, ‘Take twelve stones from the very place where the priests are standing in the middle of the Jordan. Carry them out and pile them up at the place where you will camp tonight.’”
Joshua 4:2–3 (NLT)
TANGIBLE REMINDER THAT GOD’S PROMISE AND PROVISION WILL COME TO PASS; GOD IS FAITHFUL
Praise the LORD who has given rest to His people Israel, just as He promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises He gave through His servant Moses.
1 Kings 8:56 (NLT)
ALLOW YOUR “JORDAN EXPERIENCE” TO DEEPEN YOUR FAITH AND TRUST IN GOD
God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.
Isaiah 12:2 (ESV)
He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.
Joshua 4:24 (NLT)
YOU ARE A LIVING MEMORIAL FOR THE NEXT GENERATION; SHARE YOUR FAITH TESTIMONY
They are living memorials to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises. Psalm 92:15 (AMP)
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NIV)
VICTORY GROUP QUESTIONS:
1. As you read Joshua 4 about the memorial stones, what “Stones of Promise” from God’s Word are you building in your life, to help you grow strong in your faith in Him?
2. Share a “Jordan Experience” that you had, where you had to step out in faith despite the obstacles that were coming against you.
3. In what ways can you be a “Living Memorial” for those in your life by sharing your faith and testimony to your family, children, and those in the next generation? Who can you bless today?
