“But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
1 Timothy 6:11-12 NKJV
1. SOMETIMES FIGHTING LOOKS LIKE FLEEING.
“How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.’ She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible. One day, however, no one else was around when he went in to do his work. She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, ‘Come on, sleep with me!’ Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house.”
Genesis 39:9-12 NLT
2. THE JESUS IN YOU WILL IRRITATE THE DEMONS IN THEM.
“When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, ‘What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” Mark 5:6-7 NKJV
3. SPIRITUAL WARFARE REQUIRES SPIRITUAL WEAPONS.
❖ PRAY OR BECOME PREY!
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV
