“Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey Him!”

Matthew 8:24-27 (NLT)

1. JESUS DOESN'T ALLOW STORMS TO DROWN US, HE USES THEM TO DEVELOP US.

“But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes,

come,” Jesus said....”

Matthew 14:27-29 (NLT)

2. STORMS DON’T JUST SHAKE YOUR SITUATION, THEY EXPOSE YOUR SPIRITUAL CONDITION.

“But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little

faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

Matthew 14:30-31 (NLT)

3. YOUR VISION IN THE STORM WILL DETERMINE THE VICTORY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF IT.

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the

Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

Isaiah 43:2-3 (NLT)
