3. JESUS WILL COME BACK TO RULE, AND REWARD
FIRST TIME: HE CAME TO REDEEM
SECOND TIME HE COMES: HE’LL COME TO REWARD
“For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
(2 Corinthians 5:10 NASB)
JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST: FOR THE “SAVED”
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.”
(Revelation 22:12 NASB).
THE GREAT WHITE THRONE: FOR THE “UNSAVED”
“…I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it…And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.” (Revelation 20:11-12 NASB)
“…if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
(Revelation 20:15 NASB)
“…death and Hades (Hell) were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.”
(Revelation 20:14 NASB)
