“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
1. TRUST IS BUILT ON RELATIONSHIP BUT SUSTAINED THROUGH FAITHFULNESS.
“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
Psalm 9:10 NKJV
“...Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.’ Then he said, ‘Do it a second time,’ and they did it a second time; and he said, ‘Do it a third time,’ and they did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.”
1 Kings 18:33-35 NKJV
2. TO PUT YOUR FULL TRUST IN GOD, IS TO PUT YOUR FULL WEIGHT ON GOD!
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
3. TRUST BEGINS WHERE CONTROL ENDS!
“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.”
Psalm 37:5 ESV
